These regulations allow experienced investors to establish funds in Gibraltar without going through the normal rigorous licensing process for a fund. Provided the fund and investors satisfy certain criteria, the regulation of the fund is more relaxed and less costly. Such funds are also currently exempt from any taxation on profits.
